ABOUT IRON LION TEAM GYM

Our Gym specializes in everything from fitness to fight team, offering:

Strength and conditioning is a major part of our gym as well as cardio and fitness in general. There is something for everyone whether it is fitness to Martial arts

 

Martial arts that we offer: Striking Boxing, Muay Thai, Kickboxing Karate, Jiu-Jitsu, and MMA as well.

All classes and instructions are led by active fighters or past competitors. We choose to select only the  best, to put in a position to teach people, our instructors have been tested and tried in actual competition.

Get to Know Us

I’m Charles Grace, owner of Iron Lion Team, and am a current New York State Muay Thai champion (175lbs). 2022 Muay Thai Champion and 2023 NY State Kickboxing Champion. I began martial arts training at the age of seven, and hold a black belt in Kyokoshin Karate. I have also trained in Muay Thai kickboxing and Jjiu Jitsu  for over 12 years.

Our exceptional team of instructors are here to inspire you to be your very best. Joining us will give you the all-important inner strength to navigate our complex world with confidence and drive through kick boxing, MMA classes, and fitness strength.

I started training in September of 2010 and I received my blue belt from Jungle Gym Martial Arts before moving to Stratford, CT. I received my purple, brown, and black belt under Rafael "Formiga" Barbosa, World Champion and founder of Double Five Jiu Jitsu. I feel every time I step on the mat my ground game improves whether I'm drilling, sparring, or teaching. Brazilian Jiu Jitsu is my biggest passion and my goal is to help build champions in Jiu Jitsu, MMA, and in life.

Nate Reyes

My name’s Nate, I’ve been wrestling since I was 12 years old. I first started in Shelton’s youth program and when I got to high school, joined South Side wrestling club in 2015. I wrestled on the CT junior freestyle/Greco-Roman national team in 2016. Wrestling means a lot to me because I’ve forged myself into who I am today because of it and I’ve had great coaches in my life that brought out the best in me. I simply wish to pass it on.

GYM POLICIES

  1. Show up on time: Ethics and etiquette  are very important to our gym. Please come no more than 10 minutes before class. Being late to our classes is unacceptable to both our coaches as well as gym members. If you have a reason for being late please contact coach Charlie in advance. Being late to our classes, including privates may result in the termination of your membership. 

  2. Be mindful and respectful to those around you: Show respect for instructors and teammates.                 Always listen to your instructor when speaking. We all practice with one another in order to better         each other. It's important to help push and encourage each other so that we all may benefit from           the session. 

 

3.   Bring your own equipment: Your first day of practice we will provide you with the equipment                   needed, however after that we require you to bring your own equipment. We do sell gloves, wraps,       etc at our gym if needed. Also it's required that you must wear workout/gym clothing.

 

4.   Cleanliness: Practice good hygiene (clean body, hands, and feet). Also come to class with clean           clothes and sanitized training equipment. During the end of class we require everyone to clean             and put back the equipment each class. NO FOOD INSIDE THE GYM!

 

5.   Integrity: Always be honest with instructors and teammates. Never steal, never lie, and never cheat       our system. Doing so could result in the termination of your membership.

 

6.   Humility & Teamwork: We’re all a family and we all share the same common goals. Progress is               achieved through listening to your instructors as well as being a good practice partner. We learn           and work together as a TEAM towards everyday training and fitness goals. Be a good teammate          by helping the entire team to succeed. Lift up, encourage, and push each other to get better. 

 

7.   Don’t practice with an ego: You have to stay humble when you train in our gym towards your goals.       Always strive to learn and practice without an ego. 

 

8.   All packages and specials are sold for the month they are purchased. You can not roll over                   monthly services or packs. 

 

9.   There must be a 30 day notice to put an account on hold. There will be a $10 hold fee. Accounts are able to hold for one month, until cancelation. 

10.  We do not accept cash. All purchases have to be made through the website.

11.  You can cancel your membership before the due date at any time. Please have proof of cancellation through screenshot or cancellation email. 

12. There are no refunds of memberships due to attendance. All privates need 24 hour cancellation notice no refund. For anymore questions feel free to contact us.
